As most of you are undoubtedly aware, COVID-19 is an evolving global, national, and now statewide issue. At BBBS the health and safety of our Littles, Bigs, parents, community partners, and staff is our first priority.
Though the state of North Carolina has only a few confirmed cases at this time we are taking preventative action. To protect the safety of our BBBS community we are asking you to refrain from match activities with your Little at this time. ALL match outings should be postponed.
Currently, all other BBBS operations remain unchanged. We are keeping in close contact with schools and local health officials, and we will alert our volunteers and families of any additional cancellations or notifications if or when they occur. We encourage you to be safe and take proper precautions like washing hands for at least 20 seconds every couple of hours, or before eating, avoiding touching your face, and wiping down surfaces that others may have touched. Please avoid any physical contact with any of our Littles, volunteers, or staff members if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. Again, our top priority is the safety of our Littles and our volunteers.
If our office must close, just remember, we are NOT closed! We are working remotely, and you may call your Match Support Specialist at any time.
