Shyreek is a bright, well rounded young man who always has a smile on his face and is ready to help. Shyreek has always done well in school, stayed out of trouble and been an overall good kid, but sometimes these are the kids who over looked. He is recognized today not because he has risen from below, but because he stayed above.
Shyreek is quick to offer help in any situation including with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Over the past couple of years, he has spoken at numerous events, acted as a representative of the agency in various situations, and helped in any way asked. This has always been done with a smile and without hesitation. At a young age, he is already developing a sense of leadership, heightened self confidence, and an early understanding of the importance of serving within the community.
Shyreek has been a wonderful Little Brother and helped make the friendship with his Big Brother, Terry, an easy and natural fit. Terry will tell you that he has been the one to benefit from Shyreek.
As Shyreek continues to grow, there is, without a doubt, a bright future for him. Today, though, we want to honor him for all that he has accomplished and thank him for all that he has done.
