We are a donor-based volunteer supported network that relies on funding to recruit, match, monitor and support our children and volunteers. The “Big Magic” Gala is an annual event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Piedmont. Our Gala is a fun event where we announce our Big of the Year. We have a DJ, photo booth, dance floor, silent and live auction, celebrity guest emcee, food, drinks, and so much more! It’s a fun night with an inspirational message. Located in the center of our Guilford county service community, this is an event that allows new and current donors and volunteers the opportunity to hear about the organization and the children we are serving. We award our Little of the Year at this event and hear from parent’s, donors and Program supporters. It is an uplifting event that will leave you feeling motivated about the future of our children and community. Please join us on Wednesday, October 25th at Revolution Mill Events Center. Big Brothers Big Sisters doesn’t run, doesn’t walk, doesn’t fish … we bowl! Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the nation’s largest bowling event that raises critical funds to support the mentoring relationships of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Held at Oak Hollow Tennis Center in High Point, this three-day event is one of the largest recreational doubles tournaments in the Southeast, attracting more than 225 players from around the state! The popularity of the Spider Digital Tennis Classic continues to increase due in part to the fabulous silent auction, with advance bidding, the Draw Party, and the food available the entire weekend for players and guests, as well as a Kids Carnival. This is our annual appeal to the community to get donors involved who may not have had the opportunity to give in the past. The money raised during the Caring for Kids Campaign goes toward sponsoring current Matches, supporting “New” Matches, financial assistance with the activities we provide for the youth during the year and particularly in the summer and helps with training’s for our Bigs, Littles and Parents.
